Ratfolk

Ratfolk are furry humanoids who lived in subterranean communes. Their whiskers are sensitive enough that, combined with their excellent sense of smell, they have short-range blindsight. This led to them preferring to live in close quarters so they knew where everyone was.The Ratfolk are the ultimate close-talkers and can get touchy-feely faster than other people would like. It’s part social from a culture that came from living in dark crowded tunnels where identification through smell was common, and part biological in that these are the best methods they have so they’re predisposed to use them.
